Introduction
In our “Celebrate Life” series, we speak with people who have mastered the art of finding joy in the everyday. Our guest today is Sasha, who finds meaning and fulfillment everywhere—from the snowy Alps to her morning rituals and the warm embrace of her loved ones. Read this interview to discover how Sasha balances motherhood, her love for speed, and her passion for experiencing life deeply.
The “Here and Now” Moment
Q: When was the last time you felt completely immersed in the present moment?
Sasha:
A week ago, I was on vacation in the Alps, and it felt like coming home.
Mountains are not just a location for me; they are a source of strength. My breath catches, and the world suddenly becomes wonderfully simple and clear.
During this trip, sitting on the ski lift with my cheeks slightly frozen, I noticed how pinecones grew on the trees, how skiers glided down the slopes like dancers, and how the snowflakes sparkled in the sunlight. These almost invisible details—I want to keep them not just in photos but deep within me, in my soul.
In these moments, I realize how precious every breath is, how beautiful life can be when you pause and truly feel it. This wasn’t just a trip; it was an immersion in the present, a reminder that happiness is found in simple, yet extraordinary moments we collect along the way.
Personal “Secret” Joys
Q: Do you have a small ritual or habit that always lifts your mood?
Sasha:
I have a few rituals that help me feel warmth and balance. The most important one is my personal time from 8 to 10 a.m.—I protect these two hours for myself. It could be resting in silence, practicing yoga, or indulging in skincare. This is the time when I am not just a mother but a woman, reclaiming my inner peace.
I also have a few daily habits that energize me:
• Gratitude. I start each day by expressing gratitude—for what I have and for what is yet to come.
• 100 jumps. A quick adrenaline boost that fills me with energy.
• Nauli and celery juice on an empty stomach. A cleansing ritual for both body and soul.
• Digital detox. I avoid looking at my phone for at least an hour after waking up, allowing myself to start the day with full awareness.
But the most important ritual is spending at least two hours of quality time with my daughter. Whether we are walking, playing, or laughing together, watching her discover the world is the purest source of joy.
After becoming a mother, I often neglected my own needs, trying to fill the void with activities or shopping. But in the end, I realized that happiness lies in the simplest things—like sipping my favorite flat white in peace and savoring each moment.
Now I know that these two morning hours are enough to make me feel light and ready for whatever comes next.
Anchor of Positivity
Q: Is there an object, place, or accessory that gives you energy even on tough days?
Sasha:
First and foremost, my daughter Aurora’s hugs. When I hold her in my arms and look into her deep blue eyes, everything else fades away. Fears, worries, irritation—all dissolve in pure love.
But there’s also an unexpected anchor—my Porsche Cayenne, which I call “Fur’ka.” When I sit behind the wheel, start the engine, and hear the roar of the motor, I come alive. The sporty seats, the firm grip of the steering wheel, the road beneath my tires—it’s more than just driving. It’s a reminder of who I am.
These two anchors—love and the freedom to be myself—are what keep me strong.
Small Victories
Q: What does a “small victory” mean to you? Can you share a recent one that brought you joy or pride?
Sasha:
A small victory is reacting differently to a familiar situation.
I used to get frustrated if my daughter took too long to fall asleep. But recently, when Aurora wasn’t ready for bed, I felt irritation creeping in… and I managed to stop myself. Instead of insisting, I took a deep breath, stroked her hair, and we went to the living room to make dough figurines.
I realized that between an event and our reaction, there is always a space where we have the freedom to choose.
Current Inspiration
Q: What’s inspiring you most in life right now?
Sasha:
I’ve always been inspired by people who are passionate about what they do.
I’m surrounded by friends who have found their path—some are building businesses, others are climbing mountains, practicing yoga, or making films. I admire their courage to step into the unknown.
And of course, I find inspiration in Ani Han, the Creative Director of Enso Design Lab. Her clarity, visionary mindset, and deep sense of purpose push me to dream bigger and create more. Seeing people who live with meaning is incredibly energizing.
Finding Joy in Hard Times
Q: Has there been a moment when things didn’t go as planned, but you found a way to stay positive?
Sasha:
I believe everything depends on how we choose to see it.
When something doesn’t go as planned, I tell myself: “Maybe this is for the best, even if I can’t see the bigger picture yet.”
The most powerful example? Giving birth to my daughter.
I dreamed of a natural birth without anesthesia, but reality had other plans. Now, looking back, I understand that the experience gave me an invaluable lesson: we can’t control everything, but we can control our reaction and hold on to gratitude.
Message of Joy
Q: What would you say to someone who has forgotten how to notice the small joys in life?
Sasha:
You are enough. The fact that you are here is already a miracle.
Now go and eat something delicious!
Celebrate Life
Q: What does “celebrating life” mean to you?
Sasha:
It means feeling fully alive—experiencing the full range of emotions, from unconditional happiness to bittersweet tears, from deep peace to longing.
It means being in your own rhythm and embracing everything that comes your way.
Conclusion
Sasha reminds us that the depth of life can be found in the most unexpected places—in the snowy Alps, in a simple morning ritual, or in the thrill of speeding down the road with the sound of an engine roaring.
