How we assemble multi‑layer packaging: finish protection, vibration resistance, and a clear unboxing experience.
Context
Industry: Studio Editions. Geography: global. Scale: small/mid batches. The task is to unify packaging across materials and ensure a stable experience for the recipient.
Approach
Layers. Contact (microfiber/gloves), stabilization (molded inserts), outer protection (corrugated board + corner elements).
Marking. Step‑by‑step unboxing pictograms; a QR linking to a short care memo.
Testing. Transport simulations: drop and vibration; a photo protocol of condition.
Result
We reduced the risk of surface defects on first contact; unboxing became sequential and takes less time. Service materials (gloves, wipes) are now standard across all shipments and do not depend on a specific release.
Packaging is part of the finish. It protects not only the object, but also the impression.
